PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter for hook hangers which is constituted in such a manner that the installation width of merchandise display boards disposed in juxtaposition may be narrowed by making the merchandise display boards to be mounted at the hooks at the front ends of the hook hangers turnable in a vertical direction possible and making the merchandise display boards turnable in a lateral direction possible. SOLUTION: The adapter body 4 consists of a main body front part 18 which is formed with an upper hole 17 to be freely turnably inserted with the hook 3 of the hook hanger 2, an elastic lower piece 32 which supports the neighborhood 14 of the bent part of the hook hanger 2 from below at the bottom end of main body front part 18 and a main body rear part 19 which is successively disposed at the main body front part 18 and supports a transverse rod portion 2a of the hook hanger 2 from above. Plural detaining grooves 22a, 22b and to forth for detaining the transverse rod portion 2a of the hook hanger 2 when the adapter body 4 is turned around the hook 3 are formed on the lower side in the peripheral part of the main body rear part 19. Further, both side detaining pieces 21 and 21 disposed at a display mounting member 5 are pivotally fitted to connecting shafts 24 and 24 projectingly disposed on both sides of the main body front part 18 so that the direction of the merchandise display board 6 mounted at the display board mounting member 5 may be changed in a vertical turning direction.
