PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper leaf shredder capable of appropriately shredding whether a document or the like to be wasted is thick or thin. SOLUTION: A pair of cutter rollers for longitudinally shredding paper leaves charged from a charge opening, a spiral cutter 8 spirally formed around a rotary shaft, and a flat cutter 9 for laterally shredding paper leaves 17 shredded by the cutter roller together with the spiral cutter are provided. The spiral cutter and the flat cutter are arranged so as to be able to form a plurality of blade edge intervals. In a rotary direction R of the spiral cutter an blade edge interval at a previous rotary position is larger than a blade edge interval at the following rotary position. For example, the spiral cutter 8 has at least one spiral edge, each spiral edge has a plurality of neighboring cutter edges 11a and 11b, and the cutter edge 11a at the previous rotary position in the rotary direction R of the spiral cutter formes a larger blade edge interval between the cutter edge 11a and the flat cutter 9 in comparison with the cutter edge 11b at the following rotary position.
