PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic descaling device which improves the voltage value on a wire and is high in electrolytic efficiency in the electrolytic descaling treatment for the wire. SOLUTION: The electrolytic descaling device 20 has three electrolytic descaling tank 24a to 24c, in which an electrolytic solution 23 is housed, and electrodes 22a to 22d, 21a to 21c for making the electric current flow between the electrodes and the wire W immersed in the electrolytic solution 23, and removes a scale layer formed on the surface of the wire by making the electric current flow to the wire W being continuously carried in the longitudinal direction via guide rollers (carrier mechanism) 19. The electrodes (brush electrodes) 22a to 22d are arranged outside the electrolytic solution 23 to make the electric current flow while in contact with the wire W. The electrodes (counter electrodes) 21a to 21c are arranged in the electrolytic solution 23 to make the electric current flow to the wire W via the electrolytic solution 23. Thus, leak from the wire W to the electrolytic solution 23 is made less, thereby improving the voltage value on the wire and increasing the electrolytic efficiency.
