PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a tailored steel strip to be pressed in which the welding of the steel strip is dispensed with, the defects of a surface and appearance or the like attributable to the weld bead are eliminated, and the mass production is facilitated, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: In the tailored steel strip to be pressed, and the manufacturing method therefor, steel strips 12 different in mechanical properties are integratedly rolled in the width direction. When the steel strip 12 from a continuous annealing furnace 11 is cooled, the steel strip 12 is integratedly rolled by changing the cooling speed in the width direction of the steel strip 12 to obtain the different mechanical properties in the width direction of the steel strip.
