PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition showing excellence in mechanical properties such as impact resistance, stiffness and the like and moldability such as fluidity and is usable for a wide range of applications requiring damping and vibration absorption. SOLUTION: This thermoplastic resin composition is obtained by mixing not more than 10 pts.wt. of a copolymer (A) having a glass transition temperature of not less than 40 deg.C comprising 10 to 90 wt.% of a (meth)acrylate monomer and 90 to 10 wt.% of an aromatic vinyl monomer, vinyl cyanide monomer and if necessary other monomers copolymerizable with the above monomers with not more than 90 pts.wt. of a styrene-based resin (B), the sum of (A) and (B) being 100 pts.wt. Another objective molded item of a thermoplastic resin is obtained by molding the thermoplastic resin composition.
