PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method for a brake surface to eliminate a brake surface deflection caused by the tightening force of lug nuts of a rotating element of vehicle brake attached with spindle hub lug nuts. SOLUTION: A rotating body (a brake disk 1) is fitted into a drive shaft 2 of a cutting machine corresponding to a spindle hub. A inner circumferential part 1a of the rotating body is pinched between a part 2a corresponding to a spindle hub flange of the drive shaft 2 corresponding to the spindle hub and a spacer 4 which is the substitute part of a wheel, and then fixed by tightening a lug nut 5 with the same torque as in the actual mounting. A brake face 1c is cut by driving the rotating body 1 by the drive shaft 2.
