PURPOSE: A crystal oscillator is provided to prevent troubles of various products including a crystal oscillator by increasing a welding strength between a slit pin and a lead. CONSTITUTION: A couple of lead(10,12) is combined and insulated on a base by a couple of glass. A couple of slit pin(18,20) is formed on an upper face and a lower face of each lead(10,12). A piezoelectric element(22) is loaded on the slit pin couple(18,20). A plurality of projection portion(24,26) is formed on each upper face of the leads(10,12). The projection portions(24,26) has a multitude of projections(P1-Pn). A pitch between the projections(P1-Pn) is 0.15 to 0.25mm. Each length of bottom faces of the projections(P1-Pn) is 0.1 to 0.2mm. Each height of the projections(P1-Pn) is 0.01 to 0.02mm. Each projection(P1-Pn) has a semicircular section.
