PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the coming-off and dropping-out of an annular seal having an inner peripheral contact part and an outer peripheral contact part which make contact with seal surfaces of a member to be sealed, a bore part through which a shaft part is inserted, for effecting sealing differently between the radially inner part and the radially outer part, during assembling of the seal. SOLUTION: In this structure, the fringing surface of the bore part of an annular seal is provided with a taper 101 which narrows from an inner peripheral contact part 11 toward a diametrically inner part 4 at a peripheral edge surface of a bore of the annular seal, with a taper 101. Accordingly, the coming- off or dropping-out of the annular seal can be prevented during assembling thereof, and further since no interference occurs between the seal and a shaft member upon pressing of the seal, a seal pressing force can be efficiently transmitted to the seal, thereby it is possible to obtain a desired sealing function.
