PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide use of an amphiphatic polymer as the lather improver for remarkably improve lathering. SOLUTION: An amphiphatic polymer is formed of (1) acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid, (2) a 1-22 alkyl (meth)acrylate, and (3) an alkyl (meth)acrylate or a (meth)acrylic alkylamide having an alkyl group with a hetero atom- containing functional group or (meth)acrylamide with at least part of the unsaturated carboxylic acid component being in the form of a neutral salt.
