PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing tricyclopentadiene in high selectivity. SOLUTION: In synthesizing tricyclopentadiene from cyclopentadiene and/or dicyclopentadiene, the reaction is performed to maintain the conversion rate of the cyclopentadiene and/or the dicyclopentadiene at 50% or less. In this case, the concentration of a conjugated diene, an impurity containing in the cyclopentadiene and/or the dicyclopentadiene, is 1,500 ppm or less.
