PURPOSE: A method for transmitting printing data of a printer driver is provided to automatically select a change format of a document data into a 'true type printing data' or a 'bit map type printing data' considering intrinsic characteristics of the document by the printer driver, thereby more speedily transmitting the printing data to a printer. CONSTITUTION: A method for transmitting printing data of a printer driver includes the steps of receiving and dividing a document data into a predetermined page if a printing instruction of a document is received from an application program(S10,S20), searching character information belonging to the document data(S30), composing a predetermined type printing data from the document data according to the character characteristics of the document recognized by the search(S40), and transmitting the composed printing data to a printer(S50).
