PURPOSE: A data multiplexer of a semiconductor integrated circuit is provided to simplify a structure of a block by integrating a plurality of multiplexing decoders controlling an output mode as a decoder, and to reduce a chip size and the number of control signals. CONSTITUTION: A data multiplexer of a semiconductor integrated circuit includes a x4x8 multiplexing decoder(250) and a first through fourth units(210,220,230,240). The data multiplexer inputs sensing data of 16 bits and outputs 4 bits(x4) or 8 bits(x8) or 16 bits(x16). The multiplexing decoder generates a first through fourth control signals in response to a x4 mode control signal, x8 mode control signal, a first column address signal and a second column address signal. The multiplexing decoder has a mode contrlol portion, an address input portion and a control signal generation portion. The first through fourth units respectively receive sensing data of 4 bits in response to the first through fourth control signals and respectively generate output data of 1 bit or 2 bits or 4 bits according to an operation mode. The first unit has a x4 multiplexer(213), x8 multiplexer(211) and x16 multiplexer(212,214). Each of the second through fourth units has the same structure as the first unit.
