PURPOSE: An oil filter device of hermetic type compressor is provided to smoothly filter oil even when lubricant oil flows at high speed and to dwindle resistance to flow of the lubricant oil. CONSTITUTION: An abraded sediments separating type filter member(21) is installed right under a crank shaft(10). The abraded sediments separating type filter member spirally guides lubricant oil from outside to inside so that the lubricant oil flows from a center hole(21a) of the spiral to an oil inlet(10a) of the crank shaft and abraded sediments(20) are collected on a bottom. The abraded sediments separating type filter member is formed so that oil is taken in through an inlet on the most outer part thereof and discharged through a spiral oil passage to a center thereof and sectional area of the inlet of the oil passage is smaller than sectional area of an outlet of the oil passage.
