ON SCREEN DISPLAY DEVICE OF BURGLAR-PROOF TV AND METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE: An OSD(On Screen Display) device of a burglar-proof TV is provided to make a user store a specific caption such as a name, and to display the stored caption for a predetermined time whenever power is turned on, so as to prevent robbery. CONSTITUTION: A keypad(102) and a remote control(110) set a specific function. A memory(105) stores specific on-screen data by a user. An EEPROM(104) stores an execution program for controlling TV operations. A remote control signal receiver(101) receives a signal delivered from the remote control(110). If a mode is a specific on-screen input mode, a micro computer(103) outputs an OSD signal for inputting specific on-screen data, and decodes an output signal of the keypad(102) to store the specific on-screen data in the memory(105). Whenever power is turned on, the micro computer(103) outputs the specific on-screen data stored in the memory(105). An on-screen processor(106) processes an output signal of the micro computer(103) in an on-screen mode. A video mixer(107) mixes a video reproduction signal with an output signal of the on-screen processor(106) to output the mixed signals to a CPT(Color Picture Tube)(108).
