POLARIZED LIGHT-DEPENDENT DIRECTIVE ISOLATOR AND RING TYPE RESONATOR LASER USING SAME

PURPOSE: A polarized light-dependent directive isolator and a ring type resonator laser using the same are provided to obtain a laser oscillating in two directions wherein polarization directions of light are orthogonal to each other without interference with each other in a gain medium by causing the propagating direction to be determined depending on a polarization status. CONSTITUTION: A pair of first optical units(11,14) are disposed in a path in which a light propagates for changing a rotating direction of a polarized light of an incident light depending on a propagating direction of the incident light. A pair of second optical units(12,15) rotates the incident light by a predetermined angle. A third optical unit(13) is disposed between the pair of the second optical units for passing only a specific component among components of the incident light.
