PURPOSE: A device and method for compensating rotational frequency of an engine of an upper transmission is provided to detect and store information of a manual transmission and the related parts and compensate and maintain an engine rotational frequency (RPM) into rotational frequency within a prescribed range based on the detected and stored information. CONSTITUTION: A device for compensating rotational frequency of an engine of an upper transmission includes detecting means for detecting information related to transmission, controlling means fore assuming and determining a gear position to be moved based on the detected information and outputting control signal for a compensation of engine rotational frequency according to the determined result, and compensating means for controlling an opened volume of a throttle valve(4) according to the control signal and maintaining rotational frequency of the engine within a prescribed range.
