PURPOSE: An apparatus for displaying the tilt of a deflection york is provided to reduce the compensation time requiring for the deflection property compensation and carry out the compensation correctly though a bad workman compensates the deflection property. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus(10) for detecting a deflection york property, a deflection york to be measured is inserted in a neck part of a cathode ray tube(13) which is the standard of the property detection. The deflection york to be measured is hold by a holder. The tilts of the holder and deflection york are adjusted together depending on the rotation amount of a driving lever(16). A sensor(101) for sensing the rotation amount is mounted as to envelop one side of the outer circumference edge of the driving lever and measures the rotation amount. A controller(102) analogizes the tilt value of the deflection york depending on the detected rotation amount and predetermined program. A gauge(103) displays the tilt value as degree by varying the locations of a direction pointer(103a) depending on the control of the controller.
