METHOD FOR PRODUCING PLATED STEEL WIRE FOR STEEL CORD

PURPOSE: A method for producing a plated steel wire for a steel cord is provided to form a ternary alloy layer by combining nickel or cobalt of the wire on the polar surface of a brass plated layer through a compressing dice. CONSTITUTION: A surface of a brass plated steel wire is coated with lubricant liquid containing 300 to 3000ppm of nickel or cobalt. The steel wire is drawn from a wet wire draw bench(4). The nickel or cobalt plated steel wire is finally drawn by a compressing dice(8) having 5 to 12% of a wire drawing reduction rate. Then, the polar surface of a brass plated layer forms a ternary alloy layer.
