PURPOSE: A device and a method for processing multifunctional digital audio using a storage are provided to decode digital audio data compressed through various compressing types by providing assembly codes for decoding to a decoding processor. CONSTITUTION: The device and the method for processing multifunctional digital audio using a storage includes following units. A storage includes a data storage unit(14) and an information storage unit(16). The data storage unit(14) includes audio data compressed by one or more compressing methods and decoding codes for decoding the audio data. The information storage unit(16) includes a code discrimination number for discriminating a compressing method and a start and finish address representing a region stored decoding codes corresponding to the code discrimination number. A decoding processor(20) decodes audio data compressed according to the inputted decoding codes. A control unit(18) transmits decoding codes and the corresponding compressed audio data to the decoding processor(20).
