PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing stabilized vitamin C is provided, which contains more than one kind of herb extract selected from a group of coffee bean extract, tea leaves extract and cacao extract, so stabilize vitamin C effectively, shows good activity on antioxidant effect(by chlorogenic acid) with very low skin irritation. CONSTITUTION: A process for the preparation of coffee bean extract comprises: washing coffee beans with distilled water, drying and pulverizing into powder; pouring distilled water, and extracting while boiling at 80°C for 3hrs with an extractor; filtering with a 300mesh filter sheath; maturing at 15°C for 7days, and filtering with Wattman No.2 filter sheath; concentrating under decompression with a distiller at 60°C to get the raw coffee bean extract. The cosmetic composition containing stabilized vitamin C can be prepared in the form of a softening water, a nutrient water, a nutrient cream, a massage cream, a pack, and an essence, and which contains vitamin C 0.01-20.0wt.%, and herb extract 0.0001-5.0wt.%.
