PREPARATION FOR SUBSTITUTIONAL MATERIAL OF ACTIVATED CARBON RAW MATERIAL AND ACTIVATED CARBON WASTE, USING COOLING DUST OF WASTE COKES

PURPOSE: An activated carbon is provided, which has excellent adsorbability for contaminant, improves productivity, and reduces the cost of production by using cooling dust of waste cokes. CONSTITUTION: The activated carbon is obtained by i) injecting nitrogen cooling dust of cokes into a rotary kiln or a multiple hearth incinerator that maintain at 700-1,100deg.C and adding vapor to be activated; and then ii) washing, drying, crushing and screening it. The nitrogen cooling dust of cokes contains 85-90% of fixed carbon powder and 10-11% of ash, and has 0.20-0.30mm of particle size.
