INTEGRATED HORIZONTAL CONTINUOUS CASTING APPARATUS FOR OXYGEN FREE COPPER OR SPECIAL ALLOY COPPER AND DEOXIDIZING AND REFINING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An integrated horizontal continuous casting apparatus for oxygen free copper or special alloy copper is provided to control oxygen and impurities by applying a deoxidizing method. CONSTITUTION: An integrated horizontal continuous casting apparatus comprises a graphite furnace(1), a graphite filter(2), a gas bubbling pipe(4), a cooling system(8) and an abstracting roll(9). The graphite furnace melts electrolytic copper(7) and additional elements by the high frequency induction heating of a heater(11). The graphite filter is installed in the furnace with many holes for gas and molten copper and pipe holes by dividing the molten copper vertically. The gas bubbling pipe made from graphite in the lower portion of the furnace through the pipe hole blows inert gas to a gas line(5). Then, the molten copper is fed to the cooling system to cool copper alloy and the copper alloy is horizontally and continuously cast through the abstracting roll.
