PURPOSE: An operation control method is provided to achieve an improved heating efficiency by effectively controlling operation state of a compressor in accordance with mutual operation state of each of indoor units. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step(S301,S302) of performing heating operation when an operation signal is input to any one of indoor units; a second step(S303,S304) of turning off an outdoor fan if it is judged as the first overload operation condition by the temperature of any one of the outdoor heat exchangers; a third step(S306,S307) of turning on the outdoor fan if it is an overload operation release condition during the first overload operation; a fourth step(S305,S308,S314) of continuously operating the compressor ignoring the second overload operation condition, if an operation signal is input to the other indoor unit and the temperature of the corresponding heat exchanger is the second overload operation condition while performing the first overload operation and the compressor is in operation; a fifth step(S313,S314) of turning off the compressor for a predetermined time period and re-starting the compressor, if an operation signal is input to the other indoor unit, the temperature of the corresponding heat exchanger is the second overload operation condition, and the compressor is not in operation; and a sixth step(S311,312) of turning on the outdoor fan if it is the first overload operation release condition while the compressor is in the second overload operation.
