PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inserting a thin tape into a cassette whose drawing around route is narrow and difficult to be inserted. SOLUTION: In a state that tension is applied to a thin tape 1 after the thin tape 1 is drawn around a prescribed route along a guide pin 21 provided on a lower surface of an insertion board 20 before the tape 1 is inserted into a cassette, the tape 1 is inserted together with spools 2, 3. Before the insertion, the thin tape 1 is drawn around along a guide pin 16 provided on an upper surface of a set board 15 and the tape 1 is transferred to the insertion board 20 together with the spools 2, 3. As a result, the thin tape 1 can be inserted into even the cassette which is narrow in a drawing around route and difficult to be inserted.
