PURPOSE: Reinforcing structure for a body side panel of a vehicle restrains a deflected member in a side frame from striking a vehicle occupant through sequential absorbing of impact energy when a car accident happens. CONSTITUTION: Reinforcing structure for a body side panel of a vehicle is constructed with a dash panel(10), a side frame piece(30), and a side frame(20). The bottom of the side frame piece(30) is welded on the upper surface of the dash panel(10), and the upper portion of the side frame piece(30) is also welded to have a closed section on the side frame(20) attaching with the lower portion of the dash panel(10). When an impact accident occurs, the side frame(20) absorbs impact energy at first, the closed section absorbs the rest of the impact energy. At last, the dash panel(10) absorbs and widely distributes the impact energy. Therefore, a safety of a vehicle occupant in a cabin is improved, and deflection of the side frame is also prevented at a little impact value.
