PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for controlling a draining motor are provided to minimize an occupying space of the draining motor by allowing the draining motor to be operated with a small capacitance. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling a draining motor comprises a draining motor cam(51) having a convex portion for detecting a position of a draining valve(40). A switching portion(52) is provided to generate a position detecting signal. The switching portion(52) is being on/off by the convex portion of the draining motor cam(51). The switching portion(52) is divided into two pieces formed with a contact therein. A micro computer is provided to generate a motor driving signal for controlling the draining motor. The micro computer receives the position detecting signal from the switching portion(52) and determines the position of the draining valve(50). |
