PURPOSE: A rubbing apparatus of a liquid crystal display is provided to prevent a rubbing fabric from being damaged by performing a rubbing process horizontally shifting a rubbing roller by a predetermined distance. CONSTITUTION: The rubbing apparatus of a liquid crystal display comprises a rubbing roller(6) where a rubbing fabric is wound and rubs a polymer film(8) stacked with a transparent electrode(4) on a substrate(2) to form an alignment layer. A working table(12) on which the substrate(2) is installed is reciprocated right and left by a predetermined distance. A base table is installed at a lower side of the working table, and a guide groove(14a) is formed at the base table(14). A sliding protrusion(12a) is coupled with the guide groove(14a). |
