METHOD FOR CONTROLLING EXPANSION VALVE OF MULTIPLE TYPE AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE: A method is provided to stabilize a cooling cycle in a shortest time by controlling the degree of opening of the expansion valve to be optimum when the number of indoor units in operation changes. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the first step of adjusting the amount of refrigerant flowing into the indoor units in operation by adjusting the degree of opening of the expansion valve of the indoor unit in accordance with the number of indoor units in operation; the second step of determining whether the number of the indoor units in operation changes; and the third step of adjusting the degree of opening of the expansion vale of the indoor units in operation in accordance with the change of the number of indoor units. The degree of opening of the expansion valve decreases as the indoor units in operation increase.
