PURPOSE: A mobile communication system capable of regenerating media data and information and a method for operating the same are provided to store the media or letter service provided on Internet or PC communication and regenerate the same as speech for listening. CONSTITUTION: A micro processor judges whether a mobile communication terminal receives a call connecting request by a caller through a radio public communication network(S101). The micro processor judges whether or not the received signal is letter information(S102). If the received signal is a request for call according to a general call connection, the micro processor forms a communication path(S103). If the received signal is letter information, the letter information is stored(S109). The micro process judges whether the mode selected by a user is voice express mode or letter display mode(S110). If the mode is voice express mode, the stored letter information is expressed as voice(S111,S112). If the mode is letter display mode, the stored letter information is displayed on a LCD(S113,S114).
