PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a band saw blade to prevent the occurrence of cut bending due to chips between a material to be cut and a band saw blade during cutting and improve a material yield by narrowing a cutting groove width as much as possible. SOLUTION: By setting a relation between a cut groove width T and a band thickness D to T<=1.43.D+0.15, the cutting groove width T is set to a value lower than T<=1.43.D+0.2 being a relation between the cut groove width T and the band thickness D of a conventional band saw blade BS. The length of a chip guide surface 5 is set to a value longer than the length of a conventional chip guide surface, and extended from an addendum 7 in a cutting direction to a position of radius two times as long as the radius R of a curve part 11 and chips are curled further smaller.
