PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the abutment areas of sole bodies and spike pins and to increase the coefficients of friction of both so as to lessen the possibility of wobbling of the spike pins by forming at least the portions of the spike pins embedded into the sole bodies as non-circular cross sectional parts. SOLUTION: The spiked shoes are manufactured by embedding part of the spike pins 3 and 4 into the sole bodies 2 and forming at least the portions of the spike pins 3 and 4 embedded into the sole bodies 2 as the non-circular cross sectional parts. The spiked shoes having such constitution are increased in the surface areas of the spike pins 3 and 4 and the abutment areas of the sole bodies 2 and the spike pins 3 and 4 as compared to the case the portions formed as the non-circular cross sectional parts are formed as circular cross sections. The more specific examples of the noncircular shapes include polygonal shapes, such as triangular and square shapes, and shapes, such as star and V shapes. The portions protruding from the sole bodies 2 of the spike pins 3 and 4 of such spiked shoes preferably have the non-circular cross sections.
