PURPOSE: A field emission display device with an electron isolation film is provided to improve the color purity of a phosphor by preventing a cross-talk between sub cells of a cathode substrate and of an anode substrate with installing a getter on the film of an isolating electron. CONSTITUTION: A field emission display device is formed by cohering a cathode substrate(50) and an anode substrate(60) with a spacer is interposed between themselves. The cathode substrate consists of a cathode line(42) formed on an inner side thereof, an emitter tip(43) formed in the cathode line, and a gate line(44) located orthogonal with respect to the cathode lines. The anode substrate is disposed opposite to the cathode substrate, and has a black matrix formed on an inner side thereof. The black matrix prevents the color mixing between an anode electrode and a phosphor, or between phosphors. An electron isolation film is interposed between the cathode substrate and the anode substrate for limiting a moving route of an electron. The electron is generated between the emitter tip and the gate line. By providing a getter to an upper side or a lower side, or both sides of the electron isolation film, it is possible to improve a performance of the field emission display device.
