MANAGEMENT OF TAP HOLE CORE TRACT BY REGULATING LENGTH OF COMBUSTION REGION

PURPOSE: A management method for ensuring tap hole core tract in blast furnace is provided for ensuring tap hole core tract and forming protection wall by regulating length of combustion region to protect corrosion of sidewall part at bottom part of the furnace. CONSTITUTION: A method for managing tap hole core tract is to ensure tap hole core tract in blast furnace. The method is performed by tapping out melt through the tap hole, introducing mud material into such tap hole to close it and continuously providing mud material to be accumulated inner end of the tap hole. After then, an open tract of hot blowing side is reduced to result in reduction of combustion region. The reduction of combustion region causes decrease of melt generation and consequently height of melt. Such mud material surrounds tap hole area to protect such area from breaking or cracking by melt.
