PURPOSE: A method for automatically testing a packet line in an information communication processing system(ICPS), is provided to automatically and integratedly test the packet line in the ICPS, thereby reducing a test time of the packet line and improving a service quality. CONSTITUTION: If an X.25 packet line test manager inputs an X.25 test performing command, a mediation operation administration and maintenance system(MOAM,14) selects one of the X.25 packet lines linked with the MOAM(14) as a selection test line, according to an X.25 packet line selection command. Whether the selected MOAM X.25 packet line is normal is analyzed. If every MOAM X.25 packet line is failure, a MOAM all down message is outputted and a program is ended. If the selected MOAM X.25 packet line is normal, a list of an 'X25.Addr' file is sequentially read, according to a command of reading the 'X.25.Addr' file wherein the testing X.25 packet line is registered. Whether the list of the 'X25.Addr' file is sequentially read is checked. If the file is not sequentially read, a file open error message is outputted to an operating terminal, and the program is ended.
