摘要 PURPOSE: A method of measuring degradability of toxic materials and estimating the efficiency of process for removing toxic materials, using bioluminescent bacteria is provided to solve problems, that prior techniques cannot measure toxicity in living organisms which is induced by the intermediates. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises injecting the test samples into a freeze-dried bioluminescent bacteria and measuring the luminescent amount of the bacteria which is dependent on the toxicity of toxic materials in the testing samples, in which the bioluminescent bacteria contains luminescent gene(lux gene), a stress promoter and a reporter gene reporting the operation status of the stress promoter within its chromosome and they are selected from Photobacterium angustum(ATCC 25915), Photobacterium leiognathi(ATCC 25521), and (Photobacterium phosphorium(KCTC 2852) and the testing samples may be toxic materials such as dyestuffs, phenols and the like.
