PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to make the high frequency discharge by using the voltage pulse of the high frequency and to raise the brightness and to reduce consumption of the electricity by applying the superior high frequency discharge. CONSTITUTION: The device includes a lower board(100), address electrode lines(110), assistant electrodes(111), the first dielectric layer(120), a scanning electrode line(130), the second dielectric layer(140), a partition wall(160), an upper board(200) and a sustain electrode line(210). Many address electrode lines(110) are formed on the lower board(100) and many address electrode lines(110) are formed on each address electrode line at regular intervals. The first dielectric layer(120) is formed for applying the address electrode lines(110) and the assistant electrodes(111). The scanning electrode line(130) is at right angles to the address electrode lines(110) on the first dielectric layer(120). The second dielectric layer(140) is formed for applying the scanning electrode line(130). The partition wall(160) is formed with a lattice type for making the discharge space on the crossing portion of the address electrode and the scanning electrode. The impact of electron in the upper board(200) and the lower board(100) is decreased and that in the discharging gas is increased when the frequency of the high frequency voltage pulse permitted in the scanning electrode line(130) and the sustain electrode line(210) becomes higher and the space between the scanning electrode line(130) and the sustain electrode line(210) becomes wide. |
