PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a ball valve by using a metal pipe is provided to reduce the work time and manufacturing processes by performing a series of processes in a metal pipe and by reducing the number of components. CONSTITUTION: A metal pipe is cut by a specific standard. A portion of the pipe is contracted by using a lower portion contracting die. A through hole(101) for fitting a spindle(5) is formed by drilling. A seat reinforcing ring(4) and a seat ring(3) are placed, and a ball(2) is placed on the seat ring while the lower end of the spindle is combined to a fixing recess(201) of the ball. Another seat ring and a seat reinforcing ring are placed by using a fixing shaft. The upper portion of the pipe is contracted by using an upper portion contracting die. Thus, a valve body(1) is produced. Both sides of the valve body are expanded by using a punch. A handle(6) for the manipulation of the spindle is fixed by using washers(8,9,10,11) and a packing(11').
