PURPOSE: An apparatus capable of automatically measuring an amount of engine oil is provided to precisely check the amount of engine oil in a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An engine oil measuring apparatus comprises a float(2) installed in an oil pan(1) such that a vertical position thereof can be varied depending on an amount of oil. A switch section including first to third reed switches(3,4,5) is turned on/off depending on the vertical position of the float(2). An inspecting switch(6) is turned on by an inspector and a circuit section is provided to display the amount of oil when the inspecting switch(6) is turned on in a state that an engine is stopped. The switch section is positioned in a space formed in the oil pan(1). The third reed switch(5), the second reed switch(4) and the first reed switch(3) are sequentially positioned from the bottom of the oil pan(1). The float(2) can turn on one reed switch or two reed switches. The circuit section includes a combining section for combining on/off states of the first to third reed switches(3,4,5), a display section(10) for displaying the combined data. The display section(10) includes five LED lamps(11,12,13,14,15), and an ignition-off LED(16). The combining section includes a plurality of end gates and a plurality of transistors.
