PURPOSE: A data input device of active matrix display is provided to cause data to be input from the direction contrary to initial data input direction, thereby offsetting a data delay error due to the parasitic capacitance and resistance of a data input electrode. CONSTITUTION: The data input device of active matrix display comprises a vertical shift register(12), a horizontal shift register(13), a data generator(14), a data selection switch(15) and a switch controller(16). The vertical shift register(12) sequentially inputs drive signals to drive electrodes of cells(11) deposited on a front back light(10) in a matrix format. The horizontal shift register(13) sequentially inputs data signals to the data input electrodes of the cell(11). The data generator(14) supplies a data value to the data input electrode of the cell(11). The data selection switch(15) controls the data input written to the cell(11) from the data generator(14). The switch controller(16) controls the input direction of the data.
