PURPOSE: An axle shaft for a vehicle is provided to enlarge a whole outer diameter of the axle shaft by forming a hollow shaft with a larger outer diameter in the middle part of the axle shaft and forming input and output terminals at both sides of the hollow shaft with a larger outer diameter, thereby preventing generation of noise from the axle shaft in a normal driving state of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An axle shaft(10) for a vehicle for transmitting power from an engine to wheels is divided into an input terminal(12) and an output terminal(14) respectively coupled at both sectional surfaces of a hollow shaft(20) integrally, wherein the hollow shaft having an outer diameter larger than the input and output terminals and the input and output terminals have an end part of which outer diameter is smaller than outer diameters of the other parts.
