PURPOSE: A method for converting a speech call in a mobile communications system is provided to convert the speech call by using a reservation converting function, even when a telephone line of a targeted subscriber is busy, when a mobile station intends to perform a call forwarding relating to a busy call into the targeted subscriber, so as to carry out the call forwarding without cancelling the speech call. CONSTITUTION: A mobile switching center(MSC) checks whether a hold message is received from a mobile station which is in a busy state. The MSC responds to the hold message to hold a call between the mobile station and other station, and delivers a hold tone to the other station. The MSC calls a conversion-targeted subscriber by a digit supplied from the mobile station with the hold message. The MSC checks a state of the conversion-targeted subscriber. The MSC senses a busy tone of the targeted subscriber, and delivers the busy tone to the mobile station. The MSC responds to the busy tone, and checks whether a call reserved message is received. If so, the MSC delivers a confirm tone to the mobile station. If the mobile station completes the hold call, the MSC cancels the hold call. The MSC delivers the confirm tone to continuously check a state of the subscriber. If a call completion is sensed, the MSC calls the subscriber. If the call completion is sensed, the MSC intercepts the hold tone to deliver a ring back tone. If the subscriber responds to the call, the MSC connects the call. |
