PROTECTION DEVICE AGAINST SUDDEN START OF VEHICLE AND THE CONTROL METHOD

PURPOSE: A protection device against the sudden start of a vehicle and the control method is provided to resolve the problem about the sudden start by judging synthetically the speed of vehicle and the position of the gear. CONSTITUTION: A protection device against the sudden start of a vehicle and the control method comprises: a speed sensing device; a gear position sensing device; a brake operation device to stop forcibly a vehicle when in the sudden start; an on/off device of an engine to operate or stop an engine; a control part to check whether the speed in gear shifting suddenly increases and to output a stop signal to the brake operation device if the sudden increase of the speed is estimated and to output an engine stop signal to the on/off device of an engine when the speed decreases to some degree.
