The invention concerns a method for extracting resveratrol and/or epsilon -viniferin from vine stems wherein the vine stems used are dry vine stems. Said method comprises an extraction step, a primary purification step preferably followed by a secondary purification step. The resulting purified extract is characterised by its particularly high resveratrol and/or epsilon -viniferin content.
