BARRIER RIB FORMING ELEMENT AND MANUFACTURE OF BARRIER RIB USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrier rib forming element and a method capable of reducing barrier rib manufacturing processes for a plasma display panel and forming barrier ribs having excellent shape. SOLUTION: In this barrier rib forming element having a barrier rib forming resin composition layer containing inorganic and organic materials disposed on a support film, the barrier rib forming element is laminated on a substrate such that the barrier rib forming resin composition layer comes into contact with the substrate which is provided with the barrier rib forming element being a compound that a part of the organic material contains a silyl group in a molecule and a plurality of erasable relief patterns. The barrier rib forming resin composition layer is buried between the plurality of relief patterns, the relief patterns are removed to form a pattern composed of a barrier rib forming resin composition on the substrate and the patterns are baked.
