PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a transmission radio wave of a mobile telephone set that is absorbed by a head or heads of a user. SOLUTION: A telescopic monopole antenna 22 is provided in a mobile telephone enclosure 31 which is freely housed therein. A coil antenna 32 is connected in series with the monopole antenna 22, and a core 32 made of high permeability material, such as a ferrite or a Permalloy, is provided at around a position of the monopole antenna 22, where the distribution of an antenna current indicates a maximum.
