PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive level switch not reacting to falling objects even when the contents are thrown in a container from above but accurately outputting a detection signal when they reach a set position of the container and hardly having the contents adhere to a part contacting the contents. SOLUTION: This level switch is constituted of a pressure receiving body 1 comprising a material with restoring properties and bulging in one side toward a convex surface 1A, a movable rod 7 provided with a head part 7A contacting an inner side surface of the convex surface 1A of the pressure receiving body 1 on one end of a shaft part 7B and the mother end of the shaft part 7B slidably inserted through a fixed substrate 6, a spring 8 provided on the shaft part 7B of the movable rod 7 between the fixed substrate 6 and the head part 7A of the movable rod 7 and bringing the head part 7A into contact with the inner side surface of the convex surface 1A of the pressure receiving body 1, and a limit switch 9 detecting the other end of the shaft part 7B of the movable rod 7.
