PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the inner wall of a neck from being damaged by friction against a support spring attached to an electron gun, when inserting the electron gun in the neck of a cathode ray tube bulb. SOLUTION: This manufacturing equipment is equipped with a bulb holder 4 to hold a cathode ray tube bulb 1, a mount chip 9 to hold an electron gun 3 in a coaxial state to the cathode ray tube bulb 1 held by this bulb holder 4, an elevator 17 to insert the electron gun 3 in the neck 2 of the cathode ray tube bulb 1 by elevating this mount chip 9, and a vibrator 19 to apply ultrasonic vibration to the neck 2 through a pair of positioning blocks 8 during a time period from the start of inserting the electron gun 3 in the neck 2 by the elevator 17 until finish of insertion.
