PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability in a remote monitoring system. SOLUTION: In the remote monitoring system in which a job site monitoring system A is provided for transmitting the image of a monitored job site (job site image) to a monitor center at a distant place and the state of the monitored job site is remotely monitored by the monitor center on the basis of the job site image received from the job site monitoring system A, the job site monitoring system A is provided with a self-abnormality detecting and reporting means B for independently detecting its own abnormality and reporting it to the monitor center.
