PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the collision of a photographing lens with a lens barrier in a camera of a type that the photographing lens is extended from a camera main body in use and it is housed in the camera main body in non-use. SOLUTION: This camera is equipped with a lens barrier 30 closing the front of a photographing lens 21 in non-use and opening the front of a lens 21 in use, and an operation ring 50 opening/closing the barrier 30 by the operation of the stroke of a specified amount. A ring 50 is equipped with a cam 52 moving the barrier 30 corresponding to the partial stroke of the stroke of the specified amount, and a slider 53 and a sliding part 65 designating to withdraw the lens 21 to the inside of the camera main body before the barrier 30 is moved from an opening position to a closing position with the action of the cam 52.
