PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting accelerometer having high resolution by removing an adverse effect due to bubbling of liquid helium or liquid nitrogen, one of factors of acceleration internal disturbance. SOLUTION: An inertial mass 7 is fixed in a first cooling tank 2 oscillatably supported, separated from a permanent magnet 8 of a magnetic field generating means inside a magnetic-field-shielded inertial space. It is thus possible to prevent the inertial mass itself from being oscillated due to convection caused by bubbling of liquid nitrigen or liquid helium and eliminate noise due to bubbling of cooling medium liquid, thereby providing a superconducting accelerometer having high resolution.
